Back for another crazy workweek, but . . . I registered for my first 5k today! It will be next Saturday in Blairsville, GA (up in the mountains where my mother lives). I felt a little thrill registering for it!
Sonya, I did the calculations for the maple cream, and with me using low-fat cottage cheese and non-fat yogurt, it's got around 110 calories and 1 gram of fat per half cup. I think that's awesome for something that contains protein and is sweet. I brought some blueberries today to put it on as a 3 p.m. snack. YUM.
Kim, here's hoping I have a good report to give you! I'm a little nervous but excited, too.
I took a look at your weight chart. You have been getting rid of it pretty consistently. And now you're registered for the 5K. Way to go girl!! I also checked out your last post re. the yogurt cottage cheese mixture as a based for salad dressings etc. As usual, your food ideas inspire me.
What happens when you catch veggies (and some fruits and grains) uncloaked by cream? Unsmothered by butter?
This is one woman's diary of a journey to good health.
