Half-Way Mark!

177.4--down 1.6 pounds! And that's been my approximate weight every morning for the last 4 mornings, so I know it's real.

That also means that in this year's weight loss, I've reached the halfway point in my overall weight loss goal--26.2 pounds. (From my highest weight, I'm down over 45 pounds.)

Reaching the halfway point means I get to reward myself if I choose to. My husband and I set aside a small pot of money for my weight-loss rewards, so now I need to think if I want to spend any of it. . . .

Congratulations on reaching the halfway mark! I hope you do spend part of your reward fund on something that is lifestyle related - be it snazzy fitting pants or a new fitness tool or a CD of meditative monk chants :D

If you remember, will you post where you found the Ceros cereal? I am intrigued by your description of it.

Good for you!! How about planning a trip to mark your success? Like white water rafting or something equally exhilarating or memorable?

Yay, congrats! Hope you get something you LOVE.

From your previous post-- on the 5K distance... You'll be totally fine. Just keep following your program with C25K, and if you have to walk a little during the race, then walk a little. And ignore the field when you run. Run your own race. Don't worry about people passing you. Focus on yourself, and run the best race you can that day.

And pray for cool weather!

Congratulations Veggie. It's nice to see your perseverance paying off. And awesome that you and your hubby have set aside money to celebrate.

Having never run a 5K before, just reading laura n's advice about running your own race and ignoring the people passing is comforting/encouraging. And I do agree that, as determined as you are, you'll totally be fine.
