The importance of planning

I'm sitting at my desk. It's 1:22. I didn't have any frozen leftovers to bring today; I didn't have any healthy pre-packaged options, either. I am getting hungrier by the minute and am trying to decide where I can go that is close to my office where I can eat food that is a) healthy, b) inexpensive, and c) veggie-centric. Hmm.

A vegetarian Publix sub, maybe?

This is why planning is important for weight control. I'm going to have to make sure and create plenty of leftovers to freeze this weekend.

(When I have leftovers, I dole them into individual-serving size containers, label them with an erasable Sharpie (yes, erasable Sharpies exist now) on a small label, and put them in the freezer. Easy lunch solution.)

Now back to my growling stomach. . . .

I ate a veggie sub . . . and a few potato chips from work. Not a bad lunch altogether, but not what I should eat regularly, either.
